Hello 2024: Celebration La Mirage

Bill has the flu! Oh No

Well they do not call me Nurse Cratchit (similar to Nurse Ratched) for nothing! I felt like was Flying Over The Coocoo Nest for sure if I missed the  New Year’s Eve party at La Mirage!

Bill was very sick with the flu that developed into mild pneumonia. The doctor prescribed 5 different meds plus an inhaler all  scheduled at different times.  Plus, I was checking his O2 sat level with the oximeter. So, to keep track I made out a med chart just like I used to do in nursing. Poor Bill did not stand a chance in missing a time to take his meds. I wanted to go to the the New Year’s Eve Celebration with our friends but time was running out. We had already missed the Christmas Party.

Miracle Recovery Just In time (thanks to Nurse Cratchit)

But then just like the Christmas miracles he suddenly started to feel so much better.  He no longer had symptoms or contagious . However, we checked with our friends  and La Mirage to make sure they were ok with Bill coming to the party. So the day before the party we had the all clear to go! Yippee!!!

Wonderful Goodbye 2023

We had a wonderful evening! The food was excellent and it just kept coming until midnight. Bill even danced with me! We had the  traditional 12  green grapes which you needed to consume right at midnight in hopes that your wishes would come true. Bill and I stepped outside in the La Mirage magical garden’s to watch the fireworks. The night was clear and the air crisp and yes magical. It was indeed beautiful and what better way to welcome 2024!
