2023 Fiesta de la Jora: Paseo del Chagra Horse Parade

The annual Fiesta de la Jora was in full swing in little Cotacachi, Ecuador. A favorite is the Paseo del Chagra Horse Parade. The horses prance eagerly at the bridge that leads into Cotacachi. The riders are anxious to get the show on the road. Soon you hear the hoofs  tapping on the road and each horse and rider show off their skills. The horses have been adorned with brightly colored ribbons and matching socks. So from very young to seasoned riders are demonstrating and showing off their pride with their horses.
