Blog About 2nd Thanksgiving In Cotacachi, Ecuador
I have decided to shorten my blog into smaller articles since some folks indicate that they have had problems accessing it. So trying only a slideshow without music. I have also worked on my blog to enhance the speed but will only know if someone will post a comment.
Thanksgiving always reminds me that a year has passed. Last year Thanksgiving marks the day that our container arrived with all our treasures from Texas. That first Thanksgiving dinner was spent at La Mirage with the fabulous Sandra Baquero, San Star Shipping.
Fast forward to this year for Thanksgiving. We have new neighbors Danny & Vickie from Hawley, Texas which is near Abilene. Vickie is the true hostess and invited 20 + folks to come to Thanksgiving at her house. So we all pitched in with Bill smoking a turkey, & preparing his famous New Orleans Potato Casserole. I made Gran Mariner Cranberries and Mora Enchiladas Dessert. Vickie roasted a turkey and made cornbread dressing (stuffing) plus to-die-for pecan pies. Other folks brought green beans, a variety of fruit salads, and homemade rolls. It just does not get better than this even in Texas. I am always surprised by the number of Texans here as well as retired airline pilots!
We are truly thankful for all our new friends as well as family and friends not here in paradise with us!
