Saga of the Traveling Wine Glass
A Good Friend and a Glass of Wine! Enjoy the music by LeAnn Rimes.
So what is up with the saga of the traveling wine glass? Well this little wine glass originated in Texas and was given as a gift to be treasured by a best gal friend. They both loved good wine which tasted even better with friends. Sad to say when the friend abandoned me because she wanted a new life. So what does this say about loyalty? Who leaves a treasured gift behind as well as friendships? I hope you enjoy the travels and different places, wines and of course new friends for this little forgotten wine glass.
This little forgotten wine glass needed to find a new home to be shared with lots of new friends. So this is where the story begins. Here I am in Texas loving filled with crisp chilled Chardonnay with flavors and fragrance of fresh green apples, maybe a hint of citrus. A party is going on! Oh, I am so happy to be with friends again but something is missing where is my original beloved friend. Time to start to travel in search of new new friends. Looks like for now I am leaving Texas.
Wow! It looks like I am in jail! What a journey this has been! Not to worry since I am filled with a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon is that flavors of blackberries or maybe since aged in oak could be vanilla and chocolate? I certainly have found new friends behind these bars. Yes, wine is so much better with friends the type that appreciate good wine and even better lasting friendship.
Now I am moving on to a most elegant five star restaurant that offers elegant dinning. Yippee, I am now surrounded by elegant friends in this beautiful atmosphere. My glass nearly runnith over with a fine a soft delicate Merlot with hints of fruits such as blackberry, mint and maybe even a little eucalyptus. How does life as a little wine glass get much better?
Water! Water! Water! everywhere but at least there is wine to drink with friends. Yes, you might have guessed I am happy to be filled with a delightful Gamay. I love this fresh and fruity, raspberry flavored wine. Just perfect on a cool day by the water.
Here I am at another party and surrounded by so many loving new friends. I am filled with love as well as an outstanding Sauvigon Blanc that is fresh, crisp, aromatic little wine with hints of grapefruit and grassy flavors. I have a secret this is really my favorite wine but so many more friends to find and wines to discover.
I am with friends sitting high the top of the Andes filled with a hearty spicy Shiraz with the aroma and flavors of wild black fruit with overtones of black pepper spice. Helps take the chill off the mountain evening.
Stay tuned for more adventures of the traveling wine glass. This little wine glass does miss her friends in Texas. But what is a little forgotten wine glass to do? More wines to explore and friends to meet.
Hugs to family and friends!
