USA FedEx: Where is my box of pet diabetic supplies?

We are Texans in Ecuador. My blind diabetic Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is needing his diabetic testing and supplements. A friend was to bring these from California but then the unwanted Chinese Export engulfed the world. So it was decided in order to get the supplies as well as other things our friend would ship from California via FexEx to Florida to an international shipping company that would ship to us in Ecuador. We had 2 packages being shipped one made it and the other was lost by FedEx in  Santa Maria, California. The one package that did make it to Florida has already arrived in Ecuador. So I wonder how a simple delivery from California to Florida cannot even make it out of California and be lost?  However, another international shipping company successfully shipped one box to Ecuador? I thought FedEx had state-of-the-art tracking of all shipments?

We were never made aware that the boxes should be insured. So our $700 box was only paid $100. We never were able to contest the claim. Whereas, Mr. Fredick W. Smith, CEO is on Facebook he has not responded to my private messages.  I have tried to contact him on LinkedIn but he does not accept messages. Even though his email address is posted online he does not respond.
