Yes, they sell your stuff and even make a profit. All along I thought FedEx was a reputable company but they just do not care. Now that the unwanted Chinese Export has hit the world as well as the United States. It appears that boxes are randomly tossed aside for auction. Most likely because of employee shortage or company greed and this is an easy way to reduce their volume of workload. Just my presumption. In my case, the value was around $700 and we were issued a check for a $100 + shipping charge without a formal way to dispute it. If they were only going to pay us $100 why did they request all of the receipts?

that we can not purchase in Ecuador but what if it was important documents that contained sensitive information. Think identity theft. FedEx does not even take the time to search for your lost package since they know they will just resell it at auction.  So why bother?
